INDEPENDENCE, Iowa – An Iowa woman has been arrested because she failed to return a library book.

Thirty-nine-year-old Shelly Koontz was arrested Thursday night on a fifth-degree theft charge. She is accused of keeping "The Freedom Writers Diary," which she checked out from the public library in nearby Jesup in April.

Police say the book — which is about a high school teacher's effort to inspire students to write — is valued at $13.95.

Court records show library employees tried repeatedly to contact Koontz by phone and mail. A police officer even visited her home last September.

Officials at the Buchanan County jail say Koontz was released after posting $250 bond. No telephone listing for Koontz could be found in the Independence area.

Every once in a while I play when I've had too much to 'drink' , but when I do I do play my reg games , ill usually fire up a microstakes HORSE game or microstakes Heads Up Sng's ...

anyways , I just played 3 trnys in a row .. It was each for $10 and each had 8 players and I won all 3 .. Which means I just played 9 individual heads up matches and won all 9 in a row...and I only sucked out once when my A4 > 99... I guess I run good

Need Input on How to Play this hand

edit: he ended up having KK , i made the call , but it was a crying call and i knew i was behind or maybe maybe coinflipping with AK . I know that if i play shortstacked im forced to make these calls , but perhaps i can still fold

NEW YORK – A 140-year-old lobster once destined for a dinner plate received the gift of life Friday from a Park Avenue seafood restaurant.

George, the 20-pound supercentenarian crustacean, was freed by City Crab and Seafood in New York City.

"We applaud the folks at City Crab and Seafood for their compassionate decision to allow this noble old-timer to live out his days in freedom and peace," said Ingrid E. Newkirk, president of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

PETA spokesman Michael McGraw said the group asked City Crab to return George to the Atlantic Ocean after a diner saw him at the restaurant, where steamed Maine lobster sells for $27 per pound. George had been caught off Newfoundland, Canada and lived in the tank for about 10 days before his release.

Some scientists estimate lobsters can live to be more than 100 years old. PETA and the restaurant guessed George's age at about 140, using a rule of thumb based on the creature's weight.

He was to be released Saturday near Kennebunkport, Maine, in an area where lobster trapping is forbidden.

let's first rehash some unfinished 2008 stuff ,

- my challenge that I gave myself last month , I obv didn't come near but still profited

- weight loss, didn't even come close to my goal, but still lost about 8 lbs that month , I'm still going to the gym an avg of 3 - 4 days a week , but still eating crap ...however I rather be able to eat crap and just be in the gym an extra 3 min per session

- I failed to win any big satelite to any live events, and I really tried , but just couldn't pull it off
